Hotel Grand Chancellor: A Living Presence in the Heart of Auckland

A living green facade anchors the hotel’s entrance. Floor-standing planters bring greenery into the spaces where guests arrive, gather, and move through the building. Circular hanging plants shift the eye upward, introducing nature at every level.

Each element was designed with intention, shaped by the building’s conditions and integrated not as decoration, but as a living presence within the architecture. Together, they reconnect the hotel with the natural environment and reshape how guests experience the space from the moment they walk through the door.

This project was awarded the 2024 Interior Plantscape Association Award for Large Installation, the Gold Award, and the Innovation Award at the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards.
